Today was a very clear and sunny day with no clouds or precipitation all day long. Because there was no cloud cover, it got pretty warm by the peak of the afternoon, or at least it felt a lot warmer than it did for the past few days. The humidity throughout the day noticeably rose as well, which makes sense with the snow that is expected throughout the day tomorrow. (Of course it has to snow on a day where i'm traveling) I believe this pressure system bringing the inclement weather will give way to a temperature drop after the storm has passed. 

My weather picture for the day shows the sun setting over the Seven Mile Landfill outside of Eau Claire which I visited with another environmental studies class today. Nothing shakes your world like standing on a literal mountain of trash.

The weather this weekend was uneventful. Yesterday was bright and sunny for most of the day, with limited cloud cover that passed lazily through the sky. It was warmer than it is today and the winds were pretty calm. The wind has picked up today though and brought in considerable cloud cover. It has been gray all day with no precipitation but the air is more moist than yesterday because of the cloud cover. I think we will continue to get winds from the north through tomorrow and the temperature will be around the same. Snow (1-3 inches) is expected on Tuesday brought by southerly winds.

Today started out with cloudy skies but over the course of the afternoon the cloud cover blew off and we have had clear sunny skies ever since. The temperature is much warmer than yesterday and it was amazing to have another day of sunshine. There is a band of heavy snow farther north of us, which could be causing today's increased humidity, but it is not expected to come this far south this weekend. A stationary front is currently moving through the area following the cold front that passed through earlier this week. I predict that this weekend will be calm and warmer than this week, likely the mid the upper 30s F.

Today started out very clear and cold; most people walking to school had to cover their faces. The winds from the north that brought the snow a few days ago and then this shock of below zero temperatures were replaced by southerly winds early this afternoon. Now by 4:30-5pm the sky is partly cloudy (~25% cloud cover) with thin hazy clouds high in the atmosphere. I predict that tomorrow will be warmer than today with the increasing cloud cover expected to come to the area this weekend.

The temperature is about the same as yesterday but the sky was partly cloudy all day with a few hazy clouds drifting past. There was no precipitation today, but the wind was blowing around the light, icy snow we got yesterday. Because of the wind and lack of cloud cover, it felt a lot colder than yesterday. There was another small accumulation during the night last night, about 1-2 inches. Since the weather front that brought the snow yesterday has moved through, I believe we will see a drop in temperatures tonight with the lack of cloud cover.

There is currently a winter weather advisory in place until 7pm because the light snow that is falling right now will continue accumulating during the evening commute. The snow right now is light and falling gently because there is little to no wind. The storm is moving southwest across the area and the majority of the system has already passed us. The snow also brought warmer temperatures than this morning when the temperature sat at 0 F around 7am. After this front passes, I predict that the temperatures will sharply drop again, most likely tomorrow night.

Today is becoming partly cloudy after a morning of very bright sun and clear skies. The temperature increased rapidly as the day wore on because of the increasing cloud cover. Currently the skies are completely covered with a layer of consistently colored light gray clouds.  It was very cold this morning, with the actual temperature at -2, and the wind was brisk, especially on the bridge. Precipitation in the form of snow flurries may develop late tonight and snow is expected Tuesday afternoon/evening. Because of this snow, I predict that it will be warmer tomorrow than it was today.
