Today was bright, sunny, and cold as expected after yesterday's snow. It was pretty windy during the day, but they seemed to have died down a little. It was so windy earlier though that sidewalks were blowing shut and there was a bit of a powder in the air at times. There are still some gusts coming NNE and over the river, so walking along the river road through campus was still a bit nippy. The high pressure system over the area today will stick around through tomorrow. But, as seen on the map below, an amazing warm front will hit our area by Friday and the warm temperatures (MID FORTIES :) ) will stick around through next week.
